SHEEPSHEAD BAY — A homeless man was shot to death inside the elevator of a city-run housing development early Saturday morning, police said.

Police responded to a 911 call at 7:45 a.m. at 2953 Avenue W, near Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn.

Police found the victim, who was later identified as Jimmy Albright, 32, had been shot several times inside the building's elevator.

Albright was determined to be dead at the scene by rescuers, police said, and his family was notified.

Police said the victim was homeless at the time.

An investigation is ongoing, and no arrests had been made, police said.
