DOWNTOWN — A small fire broke out at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal in lower Manhattan Friday morning, authorities said.

The blaze started on a pier at the Whitehall Terminal shortly before noon, the FDNY said.

No injuries were immediately reported, and the fire was brought under control about 20 minutes later, officials said.

A staffer at the terminal said ferries were running on schedule despite the blaze.
