Police Searching for Two in Astoria Shooting

ASTORIA — Police are searching for two individuals they believe were involved in a shooting on Thursday night in Queens.

Police said at 7:05 p.m., an armed man approached and shot another man, 35, in front of a building at 40-05 Vernon Boulevard.

According to cops, the man was accompanied by a woman at the time of the incident. The victim suffered a bullet wound in his right leg, police said, and the attacker drove off with the woman in a dark-colored SUV, by way of 10th Street. 

Police described the suspect as wearing a baseball cap, a dark T-shirt and dark jeans. The woman, who police said is wanted for questioning, was wearing a multicolored dress. The NYPD has released photos and a surveillance video of the suspects.
