Police Hunting Three Suspects Who Robbed Livery Cab Driver in The Bronx

THE BRONX — Police are searching for a trio men who were caught on video robbing a livery cab driver at knifepoint in the Edenwald section of The Bronx early Sunday morning, authorities said.

The men entered the cab's backseat at about 4 a.m. and asked the driver to take them to East 228th Street and Laconia Avenue, police said. 

Upon arriving at the intersection, the video shows one of the men pulling something from his pocket and lunging toward the driver. Another of the men then leans across the seat and reaches for the driver, the video shows.

Cops said the suspects held a knife to the driver and held him down while they swiped his wallet.

The suspects then fled the cab on foot, police said. The driver was no injured.

The suspects were described as standing 5-foot-6 and weighing between 140 and 160 pounds.
