Man Tries to Rape Woman in Sunset Park

BROOKLYN — Cops were searching for a man who forced his way into a woman's Sunset Park home and tried to rape her early Thursday morning, the NYPD reported.

The suspect knocked on the victim's front door at about 3 a.m., police said. When she opened the door, he forced his way in and tried to rape her.

But the man fled when the attack was interrupted by another family member.

The suspect was in his 40s, 5-foot-8 and 170 pounds, police said.
