QUEENS — A fire broke out in a Queens Village home Monday afternoon, officials said.

The two-story house at 93-11 211th Street caught fire just after 2 p.m., FDNY officials said.

"I saw a lot of fire engines. We only saw smoke," said a neighbor.

There were no injuries immediately reported, an FDNY spokesman said.

It was unclear if anyone was home.

"We didn't see anybody. I don't know if anybody was there," the neighbor, who asked that his name not be used, added.

Sixty firefighters from 12 units had the fire nearly under control about 30 minutes after it started, the spokesman said.

The cause was not immediately known.
