Police Seek Two Young Men in Sunnyside Robbery

SUNNYSIDE — Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying two suspects they say are responsible for robbing a Queens woman on May 11. 

According to police, the victim was walking home in the area of 50th Street near 43rd Avenue at 6:58 p.m.

Police say the woman was approached by two suspects from behind. The suspects grabbed the victim around her neck and then snatched her iPhone, before throwing her to the ground and running off, police say. 

The woman sustained minor injuries to her neck and shoulders as a result of the attack, police said.

Police describe the suspects as two young men, aged 15 to 20 years of age. Police say they are both about 5-foot-7, and weigh about 120 pounds.
