STATEN ISLAND — A 72-year-old man was rushed to a Manhattan hospital Wednesday after he accidentally severed parts of three of his fingers, officials said.

Paramedics raced to 182 Davis Avenue in West Brighton about noon after the victim — who was using a table saw — accidentally cut off parts of his thumb, index and middle fingers on his right hand, the FDNY said.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital's trauma center with the severed pieces of the fingers, they said.

He was listed in stable condition, an FDNY spokesperson said.
