BROOKLYN — Cops arrested a homeless man at the Brooklyn Heights branch of the New York Public Library Tuesday night after he allegedly accused a library patron of watching porn on library computers then stabbed him in the neck and stomach, sources said.
Ralph Neptune, 46, was charged with second-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
The victim, 53, was taken to Bellevue Hospital with injuries that were not considered non-life-threatening, FDNY said.
A police source confirmed that Neptune snapped after believing that the victim was watching pornography.
The victim, whose name was not released, was not watching porn when Neptune attacked him, police said.
The stabbing was reported about 7:30 p.m., authorities said.
Jason Carey, a spokesman for the library, declined comment.
"It's a police matter at this time," he said.
