BROOKLYN — A 20-year-old man was shot and killed in Brownsville early Sunday evening, authorities said.

Felix Michael Davis, of Thomas Boyland Street, was found shot once in the torso in front of 1631 St. Mark's Ave. after police got a call shortly before 6:20 p.m., the NYPD said.

He was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Local resident Denise Morgan, 52, was on her way home from the grocery store when she heard the gunshots.

"When I was going home yesterday I heard something go 'pop, pop,'" she said. "And when I came back from the store my mother said someone got shot."

An investigation is ongoing, police added.
