MANHATTAN — A teenage girl reportedly fended off an attacker Wednesday by kicking him in the groin on the Lower East Side.

The victim, 17, was walking west on Delancey Street near Forsyth Street about 4 p.m. when an unidentified man forced her behind a nearby building, shoved her against a wall and took off her jacket, according to the Daily News. The girl then reportedly kicked him in the crotch and fled.

After the man ran way, police canvassed the area, reviewing surveillance tape, speaking to residents and called for a K-9 unit, the Daily News reported.
