BROOKLYN — Emergency workers rushed a 42-year-old man to a hospital Wednesday morning, after debris fell on him at the Brooklyn Army Terminal in Sunset Park, the FDNY said.

At 10:53 a.m., a 911 caller reported that the man was struck by a piece of metal that had fallen from several stories up, fire officials said. He was transported to Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn for pain on his left side.

The man's identity was not released, and his condition was not available.

Freddy Dargas, 44, security director at the terminal, said the injury appeared to have occurred at a construction site outside one of the terminal's two, eight-story office buildings. The FDNY said it could not confirm whether the man was a construction worker.
