MANHATTAN — A car crash on the FDR Drive closed all northbound lanes over a three-block stretch Thursday morning, causing delays heading into rush hour, authorities said.

The accident forced the closure of the northbound lanes between East 14th and East 11th streets, according to the Office of Emergency Management.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash and whether anyone was injured.

Authorities warned drivers to expect extensive delays as a result.
