EAST HARLEM - A man claiming to be armed pulled off a bank robbery on busy 125th Street Saturday, DNAinfo New York has learned.

The man hit the Apple Bank for savings on at 124 E. 125th St. around 1.pm., passing the reller a note sayong he was armed and demanding money, sources said.

The teller handed over $168 and the robber fled, according to a source who told DNAinfo New York that the robber had hit that Apple branch at least once before.

No one was hurt.

The bank, which was reopened for business Saturday afternoon, declined to comment.
