Man Steals $22K from Flushing Safe

QUEENS — A cash-hungry cat burglar broke into a Flushing store and made off with $22,000 from a safe inside, police said.

The incident happened about 1 a.m. on Sun., April 22, when the man busted his way into 59-08 Main St. through the back door and swiped the cash, the NYPD said.

The man then fled the location in an unknown direction.

The suspect, who was caught in the act by surveillance cameras, is described as between 35 and 40-years-old, cops added.
