BROOKLYN — A 75-year-old woman was struck and killed today while crossing a Midwood street, police said.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was crossing Avenue S while an ambulette van was driving north on East 15th Street, police said.When the driver, 36, made a left turn onto Avenue S, he hit the women, cops said.
The woman was taken to New York Community Hospital, where she later died, police said. A man answering the phone for the ambulette company, Star Trans Inc., declined to comment for this story.
No criminality is suspected, and the man remained on the scene, cops said.
