Armed Robber Strikes Three Bronx Beauty Salons

BRONX — It's enough to make your hair curl.

Police are hunting for a man wanted for a string of armed robberies at several Bronx beauty salons.

Armed with a gun, the suspect, described as having tattooed forearms, allegedly struck three separate salons over the course of 10 days.

According to cops, the suspect entered a salon at 1111 Southern Blvd., in Morrisania, on March 11 at 6:10 p.m., threatened three women and demanded their cell phones and cash.

Two days later, just before 7:40 p.m., the suspect allegedly struck again, this time at a salon at 727 Pelham Pkwy., in Bronxdale, stealing cash and jewelry from a 55-year-old woman.

Then, on March 21, around 3:30 p.m., he allegedly stole a cell phone and cash from a 21-year-old woman in a salon at 2433 Jerome Ave., in the Fordham section.

NYPD

Police said no one was injured in the robberies. It's not clear if the victims were customers or workers.

The suspect was described as between 25- and 35- years old.
