Cops Search for East Harlem Bank Robbery Suspect

MANHATTAN — Cops are hunting for a man in connection with an East Harlem bank robbery earlier this month.

The suspect allegedly walked into Ponce DeLeon Bank just before noon March 7 and handed a teller a demand note, cops said.

The teller complied, and the suspect fled.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-10 to 6-foot, 170-pound, male between 35-45 years old.

He was wearing a beige, waist-length jacket with a white collar, dark pants, white sneakers, black winter wool cap and round-rimmed sunglasses. He was carrying a black and light-blue backpack, cops said.
