BROOKLYN — A 21-year-old man was shot and killed near his home in a Fort Greene housing complex Tuesday night, authorities said.
The unidentified man was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his body when police responded to the scene at 48 Monument Walk, the NYPD said. He was taken to Brooklyn Hospital and pronounced dead, police added.
The man had 11 prior arrests for crimes ranging from marijuana possession and criminal trespassing to manslaughter, a police source said.
The source added that the motive for the killing appeared to be retaliation for an earlier incident.
There are no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
