STATEN ISLAND — A man was arrested in Illinois Tuesday for allegedly stabbing a groom-to-be during his engagement party last week in Annadale, sources said.

Redinal Dervishaj, 35, was picked up at his aunt's house in Palos Hills just days after Antonio Lacertosa, 27, was stabbed to death, according to the sources.

He was not immediately charged.

Police said that Lacertosa was found stabbed to the torso outside of Espana restaurant on Annadale Road, where he was celebrating his engagment to fiancee Bridgette Schneider, just after 2 a.m. on March 17.

He was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to the New York Times, the suspect was expected to be returned to the city this week.
