INWOOD — Cops have nabbed two suspects wanted for blasting a man through the door of his Nagle Avenue apartment in an apparently drug-related shooting, sources said.

Joell Joyce, 23, and Derrick Ayers, 26, who is on parole for attempted robbery, allegedly shot the victim six times, hitting him in the chest and back, but the man survived, according to police.

The suspects were charged with attempted murder and gun possession, according to court records, and are due in court on March 23.

Sources said that the suspects were arrested by 34th Precinct patrol units minutes after the shooting Saturday afternoon, when officers saw them running from the victim's apartment.

Police recovered a gun during the arrests.

The victim is in stable condition after being treated at Harlem Hospital.

Some residents said they were upset about the gunfire.

“Lots of families live here. This is no place for bullets to be flying,” said Inwood resident Erika Duarte, 27.
