BROOKLYN — Police are investigating the death of a newborn delivered by a 15-year-old girl who went to school afterward, authorities said.

The baby girl was found Wednesday shortly after 8 p.m. in an apartment at 24 Humboldt St. in the Bushwick Houses, police said.

The baby was found unconscious and unresponsive before being taken by paramedics to Woodhull Hospital, police said. She was pronounced dead a short time later, they added.

The medical examiner will perform an autopsy, police said.

After giving birth to the baby early Wednesday, the 15-year-old girl went to classes at her high school, the source said.

The teenager has not been charged, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
