Police Identify Man Killed in Queens Car Crash Saturday

QUEENS — Police identified a man who was killed after being ejected from his vehicle after striking a tree and utility pole in the Rockaways over the weekend.

Robert Aleca, 23, of Ridgewood, Queens was traveling south on Crossbay Boulevard near the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge about 7 a.m. Saturday when the accident happened, police said.

Aleca was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

It was not immeditally clear how Aleca lost control of the vehicle.
