STATEN ISLAND — A massive brush fire tore through Staten Island Thursday night, authorities said.

Emergency crews responded to the blaze at 100 Shelley Ave. in the Travis-Chelsea section of Staten Island about 7:46 p.m., the FDNY said. No injuries were reported.

The fire hadn’t spread beyond the brush to any homes or other structures about an hour after it started, fire officials said.

At least 33 units and 138 firefighters responded to the scene to battle the blaze.
