BRONX — Three people were treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a Williamsbridge building Tuesday morning, fire officials said.

The blaze began about 7:30 a.m. on the second floor at 871 East 220th St., an FDNY spokesman said.

It was under control about 30 minutes later, he said.

Three people were treated for smoke inhalation and transported to Jacobi Medical Center, fire officials said. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening, the spokesman said.
