UPPER WEST SIDE — A man was killed and two other people were injured after their car careened out of control and slammed into a concrete median on the Henry Hudson Parkway early Thursday, police said.

The accident happened about 2:30 a.m. at 96th Street, police and fire officials said. The 2002 Audi was traveling northbound when it hit the right side guard rail of the highway, bounced off it and overturned, police said.

The victim, 26, who was in the front passenger seat, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in cardiac arrest, an FDNY spokesman said. He was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later.

The driver, 20, and another passenger, 18, were taken to a hospital in stable condition.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
