Green-Haired Bandit Hit Bronx Liquor Store Twice in Two Weeks, Police Say

RIVERDALE — Police are looking for a green-haired man they say robbed a Bronx liquor store twice in two weeks.

The owner of the liquor store at 3604 Riverdale Ave. recognized the verdant hairstyle the minute the man walked into the store at at 11 p.m. Feb. 20., two weeks after he allegedly hit the same store two weeks before.

Police said a tussle ensued when the owner tried to grab the man and keep him from leaving until police could arrive. The man allegedly stole keys out of the owner's pocket before fleeing the store, and the owner gave chase and they wrestled again, with the store owner receiving minor injuries, according to police.

The suspect is described as 17 to 21 years old, with green hair that was last seen covered in a brightly colored baseball cap. He was wearing blue pants and a brown jacket.
