LOWER EAST SIDE — A fire broke out in a Broome Street building Wednesday morning, the second blaze firefighters have had to battle at the Lower East Side address in just over two days, fire officials said.
The latest fire at 154 Broome Street broke out about 7:40 a.m. on the second floor, an FDNY spokesman said.
It was extinguished 20 minutes later.
On Monday, a fire broke out at the same address in a mattress on the 12th floor, the FDNY spokesman said.
There were no injuries in either fire.
The FDNY was investigating if there was a connection between the fires.
