UPPER WEST SIDE — A person leapt from an Upper West Side building early Tuesday in an apparent suicide, officials said.
Emergency units rushed to 111 W. 71st, near Columbus Avenue, at 7:30 a.m. in response to calls of an unconscious person on a second-floor roof, FDNY officials said.
The 911 calls reported a suicide, but that could not be immediately confirmed.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The NYPD could not immediately provide information about the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
