HARLEM — There were some fireworks in East Harlem Monday afternoon as the show "A Gifted Man" lit a cab on fire at 118th Street and Pleasant Avenue.

The banged-up cab was exploded in the middle of the street about 2:00 p.m., sending black plumes of smoke into the air at the intersection whose street signs were changed to make it look like East 8th Street and Avenue B.

"I thought someone just got shot!" said a passerby just after the explosion.

One local resident came down to check out the scene after seeing the bombed-out cab in the middle of the street.

"I thought the cab had actually gotten in a wreck," said Matt Gleason, 23, who was excited to hear there was going to be an explosion across the street form his apartment

Car traffic was shut down on Pleasant Avenue and 118th Street during the shoot.
