Staten Island Expressway Crash Leaves Pedestrian Critically Injured

STATEN ISLAND — A man was critically injured Wednesday night when he was struck by a car on the Staten Island Expressway in Bulls Head, the fire department said.

The incident happened on the highway near the West Shore Expressway about 6 p.m.

The fire department sad the man was in the cardiac arrest when he was taken to Richmond University Medical Center.

It was not immediately clear if the man was trying to cross the highway.
