QUEENS — Police have charged a Woodside man with breaking into his ex-girlfriend's apartment and threatening to kill her with a meat cleaver.

Damion Jackson, 41, climbed the fire escape about noon Sunday and broke a window with a brick to enter the woman's home, police said Tuesday.

Cops would only say that the woman lived within the 114th precinct, which covers parts of Long Island City, Astoria, Jackson Heights and Woodside.

When Jackson got inside, he grabbed a meat cleaver from the kitchen and threatened to kill the 39-year-old woman and her 24-year-old son, cops said.

Jackson eventually put the cleaver down and fled the apartment on foot, police said.
