Pedestrian Struck by MTA Bus on Upper East Side

UPPER EAST SIDE — A woman was struck by an MTA bus and critically injured early Thursday on the Upper East Side, officials said.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was hit by an M86 bus at 7:30 a.m. on First Avenue, at East 96th Street, fire and transit officials said.

Paramedics transported the woman to Mt. Sinai Hospital, an FDNY spokesman said.
