MANHATTAN — A man was stabbed at a Chelsea nightclub early Saturday morning, authorities said.

The victim was stabbed and hit in the head with a bottle shortly 4 a.m. at 229 W. 28th St., between Seventh and Eighth avenues, which houses The Shadow nightclub, police and fire officials said.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, sources added.

Authorities were called to the location for crowd control around the time of the incident, the FDNY said.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the attack or if it involved any club-goers, authorities added. Information regarding the victim’s identity was not immediately available.

The Shadow, which bills itself as a “drama-free” nightclub, does live DJ broadcasts from the 11,000-square-foot venue for the radio station Hot 97 every Friday night, according to its website.

The club's general manager wasn't aware of the incident and said the attack did not happen inside the space.

"Maybe it occurred blocks away," said Jodi Seiff, adding that violence sometimes spills over from other nightclubs and late-night establishments in the area.

"Nothing like that occurred at the club," she said, noting she was working at the club when the stabbing took place. "I've been there 16 years, we've never had an incident."
