MANHATTAN — Police shut down a stretch of Broadway next to Occupy Wall Street's Zuccotti Park encampment after getting a report of a suspicious package at the corner of the park, officials said.

Calls of a suspicious package at Broadway and Liberty Street, the northeast corner of Zuccotti park, came in at 10:32 a.m. Tuesday, fire officials said.

The street was shut down between Cedar and Cortlandt streets by 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, according to the city's Office of Emergency Management. It reopened shortly after 11:30 a.m., police said.

Barricades were placed around the park during the incident, according to reports.

Police said they were investigating.
