MANHATTAN — Marathoners may be running in the big race Sunday, but motorists will be ones facing the hurdles.
Several streets wil be closed for the ING New York City Marathon on a rolling basis, according to organizers.
In Manhattan, the closures begin with the lower level of the Ed Koch/59th Street Bridge, which shuts down beginning at 7 a.m.
Several spots along First Avenue, from 77th to the Willis Avenue Bridge will be closed starting at 8:45 a.m.
While most of the closed roads are expected to reopen within hours, parts of Central Park's East and West Drives will be closed throughout the day.
