MANHATTAN — A Staten Island girl accidentally brought a gun belonging to her mom, a retired NYPD cop, to a Chinatown school last week, according to reports.
The 6-year-old girl unwittingly toted the loaded .25 caliber Taurus in her backpack to Transfiguration School on Mott Street Tuesday.
According to the Daily News, she took the gun out of the bag and her teacher came over to investigate.
The teacher then called 911 and cops removed the gun without incident, the report said.
The officer, who put the gun in the bag and forgot about it, was not charged in the incident, the News said.
