Fire Destroys UWS Apartment

UPPER WEST SIDE — A fire in a 14-story Upper West Side building destroyed a first floor apartment, the FDNY said.

A department spokesman said that they were called to 250 West 103rd St. at 10:13 p.m. Tuesday. 

The fire left families evacuated on the street.

The fire was under control within 30 minutes. No injuries were reported and the cause is still unknown, the FDNY spokesman said.
