Fire Breaks Out in St. Nicholas Avenue Building

MANHATTAN — A fire broke out in a Harlem building Sunday afternoon, according to the FDNY.

The blaze at 582 St. Nicholas Ave., near West 140th Street, erupted just before 12:30 p.m., officials said.

The more than 60 firefighters who responded to the scene needed just 18 minutes to get the fire, on the third floor, under control.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.
