MANHATTAN — Columbus Day weekend is shaping up to be a beauty.

Forecasters are predicting summer-like conditions for the holiday weekend in Manhattan with warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine.

A high of 80 degrees was expected on Saturday under sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.

The mercury will hit 84 on Sunday and 83 degrees on Columbus Day, when the annual parade takes place on Fifth Avenue, with lows in the lower and mid 60s.

Forecasters say that the temperature will begin to dip on Tuesday, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 74 before clouds and a possibility of rain set in on Wednesday.
