MANHATTAN — The rained-out playoff opener for the Yankees will pick up again Saturday night — if the weather holds.

While it is expected to be cloudy at game time — 8:30 p.m. — forecasters predict rain soon afterwards through midnight, according to AccuWeather.com.

Tickets for the opening game of the American League Division Series, against the Detroit Tigers, will be honored at Saturday night's game, which will start in the bottom of the second inning with the score tied at 1, MLB.com said.

Game 2, which was scheduled for Saturday night, has been moved to Sunday at 3 p.m., the league said. Tickets for Game 2 can only be used on Sunday.

The game, matching up CC Sabathia against Justin Verlander, was suspended at 10:24 p.m. after rain delay of over an hour.

When it resumes, Ivan Nova will be pitching for the Yankees and Doug Fister will take the hill for the Tigers.
