MANHATTAN — President Barack Obama will make a quick jaunt to the Big Apple Thursday to attend a fundraiser at the Ritz Carlton Battery Park Hotel, a spokeswoman for the Ritz confirmed.

The President is set to land at JFK Airport at 5:25 p.m. in order to arrive at the event at 6:05 p.m., according to his public schedule.

He will then appear at an unidentified "private residence" for a second DNC fundraiser before flying back to Washington at 7:10 p.m.

The Ritz Carlton affair will follow a string of high-brow fundraisers that the President has attended around Manhattan in recent months, including an LGBT Leadership Council Gala at the Sheraton Hotel and a private performance of "Sister Act" on Broadway, for which top-tier tickets cost $35,800 and $10,000, respectively.

The hotel should provide a considerably different atmosphere from the one Obama will experience Thursday afternoon, when he visits a battery factory in Holland, Michigan.

Obama will return to Downtown Manhattan in September, along with his predecessor George W. Bush, to attend a 10th Anniversary memorial for the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks at Ground Zero.
