MANHATTAN — Take it easy outside, New Yorkers.

Rising temperatures and increased ozone levels were expected Monday as the city braced for yet another round of steamy weather that will stick around all week.

New York Department of Environmental Conservation issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for Manhattan until 11 p.m. Monday as temperatures were expected to reach 91 degrees in Central Plark.

Storms were likely Monday night, but it was expected to remain hot throughout the week, topping out around 98 degrees Friday.

The New York State Department of Health recommends that when pollution levels are elevated, people avoid strenuous outdoor activity. Those with health conditions such as asthma and heart disease, or who are very young, may be sensitive to elevated air pollutants. Those with symptoms should contact their physician.

The Deparment of Environmental Protection issued an air quality health advisory on Monday.
