LOWER EAST SIDE — Films crews took over the corner of Grand and Orchard streets Monday to shoot scenes for the upcoming comedy “Lola Versus.”

A large crane stood at the intersection Monday morning in preparation for the day-long shoot, with the movie scheduled to continue filming in the area through Tuesday.

The comedy — starring Greta Gerwig, Debra Winger and Bill Pullman — tells the story of a 29-year-old woman searching for answers after getting dumped by her fiancé just weeks before their wedding.

Crews used the building at 321 Grand St. as the backdrop Monday, after filming for the upcoming movie “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” took place at that exact location in May.
