MANHATTAN — A homeless man who was brutally beaten in Union Square has died from his injuries, police said.
Stanley Novak, 56, who stayed at a homeless shelter on East 30th Street, died Friday night after being pummeled with a metal object on 15th Street near Union Square Park.
Another homeless man, Kennan Bryce, 29, was charged with murder for the alleged attack, which followed an argument.
It is not clear if the men knew each other. It was also not known if Bryce had a criminal record.
