MIDTOWN — A fire broke out Monday morning at a Madison Avenue restaurant, fire officials confirmed.

Firefighters were called to 22 E. 41st St. near Madison Avenue around 11:29 Monday, and had the fire under control within 45 minutes, fire officials said.

The address is home to the Irish bar O'Casey's Pub — which recently gained Community Board approval to open Midtown's first pop-up cafe, allowing it to use outdoor seating along stretches where sidewalk cafes are normally not allowed.

Pop-up cafes are paid for and managed by restaurants, but are open to the public and provice no food service.

The owner and manager of O'Casey's Pub was not available Monday for comment on the fire.
