MANHATTAN — Gov. Andrew Cuomo has set the date for a special election to fill disgraced former-Rep. Anthony Weiner's seat.

The vote for the 9th Congressional District seat will take place on Sept. 13, coinciding with the state's Primary Day, the governor announced Friday.

Weiner announced his resignation June 16, 10 days after he admitted to sending sexually explicit images of himself and having lewd conversations with half a dozen women online, including a former porn star.

Calls for the congressman's resignation began immediately after, as cringe-worthy photos of the former front-runner in the 2013 election continued to emerge.

Voters will also weigh in on six vacant State Assembly seats in the 23rd, 27th, 54th, 73rd, 116th and 114th districts.
