MANHATTAN - The free ride is over.

The nearly two-week grace period for the popular, new East River Ferry service finished Friday, according to the company's website.

Starting Saturday, June 25, one-way fares cost $4 for the boat service that links East 34th Street in Midtown to Long Island City.

The ferry also makes stops in Greenpoint, Williamsburg and Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn before returning to Wall Street.

The service was so popular during its free trial period that it drew nearly 12,000 riders in the first two days alone.
