Fire Erupts in Gramercy Building at 24th Street, Injuring Four

MANHATTAN - A massive fire erupted in a Gramercy building Saturday afternoon, leaving four firefighters with minor injuries, officials said.

The two-alarm blaze, which broke out at 2:15 p.m., tore through four floors of the building on Third Avenue and E. 24th Street, from the cellar to the third floor.

More than 100 firefighters rushed to fight the flames, which were brought under control just before 4 p.m.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

A fire broke out at Third Avenue and E. 24th Street Saturday.
