CHELSEA — Come hungry and get High!
A specialty Brooklyn beer bar, falafel, tacos and all-natural slushies will all be available this summer beneath the High Line's northern tip.
Friends of the High Line revealed the array of vendors headed to a new, temporary public plaza at 30th Street and Tenth Avenue Tuesday.
Amenities at the spot, a former parking lot underneath the end of the soon-to-open second section of the popular former freight rail line, are intended to help bring bustle to the relatively desolate section of northern Chelsea.
Headlining the new outdoor bar, called "The Lot on Tap" and managed by Collichio & Sons, will be a specialty beer called Brooklyn High Line Elevated Wheat (created by the Williamsburg-based Brooklyn Brewery).
The watering hole will also serve a mix of domestic wines, sodas and other local beers. That announcement follows a debate over the new alcohol plan at Community Board 4.
A rotating crew of food trucks on site will include Kelvin Natural Slush Co., luxe ice cream sandwich vendor Coolhaus, Red Hook Lobster, falafel-maker Taim Mobile and The Taco Truck.
Friends of the High Line also plan to offer activities on site including live music, film screenings and roller-skating.
The park also plans to bring beer and wine to the Chelsea Market Passage section at 16th Street.
